The grass topper is drive by a heavy duty bevel gearbox direct to one rotor and through a “C” section vee belt to the second rotor. A screw-adjusted idler quickly tensions the belt, which is easily accessible and runs on large diameter pulleys. As a result, the belt has a longer lifespan and can convey more horsepower. The PTO shaft has a shear bolt that guards against extreme overloads.
